Hey, George...Alan...could you stop eating for just a second? The sunset behind you is gorgeous. You really need to come up for air and watch it.
Huh?
What sunset? Can't you see we're busy here?
Be that way. Get your big ears out of the way then
and let everybody else take a look.

Linda, wonderful pictures as usual. Those guys make great props for your pictures - I guess it's their way of earning their feed.
ReplyDeleteThis will be my last comment until the first of the year because Betty and I leave tomorrow morning for Tennessee.
I wish you and all your critters a blessed and joy-filled Christmas.

Unappreciative burros! Do you always feed them with a camara in your hand? I'm glad you did, that is a really stunning sunset and a nicely put together post as well.
ReplyDeleteFantastic pictures!
ReplyDeleteThose two donkeys are simply adorable and this conversation reminds me of the ones I have with my two dogs when i want them to pose in front of a beautiful scene :) They of course would rather run around the woods in search of wild life tracks.
ReplyDeleteAn exceptionally vivid and colourful sunset you have posted this week for our enjoyment. Thank you for that and merry Christmas too.
Very cute. Nothing like a couple of talking burros to keep me giggling!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Love all of them.
ReplyDeleteWHOA!! You aren't kidding! That is gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteThose adorable burros missed the show. Sure glad you didn't great photos of a dramatic sky and very well presented.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures - well done!
ReplyDeleteLinda - my husband wants to know the details of your photos. Obviously you were using the flash (right?) on the donkies, but what aperture and shutter speed did you use?
ReplyDeleteApparently, he's tired of seeing me struggle with sunset pictures...
What can I say? So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a spectacular sunset...but as usual, George and Alan stole the show!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sunset!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning sunset photograph. I'm speechless, which doesn't happen often.
ReplyDeleteCindyDianne, tell your husband I cheated and used the camera in Program mode - I was in a hurry and didn't want to miss the sunset! But the stats tell me that the photos with the donkeys in the foreground were shot at 1/60, f:3.5, 18mm on the zoom, with the built-in flash. The last one was at 1/60, f: 5.6, 135 mm on the zoom.
ReplyDeleteSpectacular and funny! What a combo.
ReplyDeleteFunny photos ... and beautiful sunset. The one with just the donkey ears especially.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't even look real! What an incredible sunset!! George and Alan probably find it boring...just another gorgeous sunset....:)
ReplyDeleteFabulous skies! What colors!
ReplyDeleteSilly donkeys. That sky is incredible!!!! And I agree with a previous comment, the sunset does look better with ears. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh what beautiful shots you've captured here! Very Very Niiice - Love the colors!!!

Linda: Wow, what a really neat sky and those boys did want to be in the picture. They just didn't want to see the sunset.
ReplyDeleteGreat sunset pictures, such vivid color. I enjoyed your "elf Yourself" at the bottom of the page too!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh. That was lovely. Thank you, I needed that sunset.
ReplyDeleteFantastic sunset! I really like the way you presented it too. lol!
ReplyDeletethe guys have an awesome view...dining al fresco.
ReplyDeletehappy holidays.
Those were great!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing sunset - not suprising the "boys" were more interested in dinner!
ReplyDeleteAs someone said here, I too, find there's nothing to keep me smiling and giggling better than talking burros. The thing is, you obviously do hear them, because I've found that donkeys are extremely "talkative" in their way and they are also very...smartASS...of course! LOL. You do capture exactly what they are saying, I think.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sunset and definitely better with George and Alan in the photos.
Okay, so now I want to move THERE.
ReplyDeleteFantastic sky. Love the southwest.
