Whew. The presents are bought, the grocery shopping is done, the house is sort of clean, and I'm almost ready for the annual 7MSN holiday extravaganza. There will be seven adults and three children here for Christmas dinner...why, I'm not sure, since I'm the biggest scrooge on the block, but it's a tradition. So all I have left to do is hang a decoration or two inside the house so that it looks a little less round-up-y and a little more Christmas-y.
Smooch insisted on helping.
And you should know me well enough by now to know where this is going.
So with Smooch and the kitchen appropriately decked, it's on with the show.
Both Smooch and the kitchen look very festive. Have fun with the holiday guests. We've got a gang coming over on Christmas Eve.
ReplyDeleteSmooch looks quite celebratory for the party. A wonderful Christmas to all at 7MSN!
ReplyDeleteHarmony,
Janet & Shiloh
Awww...Smooch is a good girl to help you like that!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI finished my shopping just this afternoon. It took forever though, because we still have over a foot of snow on the ground, and life has come to a standstill (or a whirl wind) around here!
Shopping? what? (I am boycotting.) I love the heavily decorated doggy. She's pure heaven. Sweet!
ReplyDeleteYour Smooch is a good sport! Happy Holidays to you and all of your crew!
ReplyDeleteLook at Smooch! How festive - happy holidays to both of you, and may the dinner go perfectly!
ReplyDeletesmooch is gorgeous, especially in those lights!
ReplyDeleteI ordered one of your George and Alan calendars and am really looking forward to getting it next year. It is a great cause to donate to. When I lived out in Mexico for a while a few years back, it just used to make me cry when i saw the poor creatures carrying tons of stuff PLUS the lazy men who couldn't be bothered to walk up the hills. The donkeys always looked so sad. That's why I love yours though, they have such happy, truly contented faces :D
My Christmas extravaganza starts in about an hour and will go on for 3 days!! I am NOT at all prepared, but so it goes ...
ReplyDeleteWally is VERY jealous of Smooch right now after seeing the pictures of her all decorated, + I think he's in love too! LOL I love what you did with the kitchen ... that idea never dawned on me and I'll have to keep it in mind for next year.
I feel like I'm an invited guest to your wonderfully hospitable home. Thanks for letting us all in on your little slice of life.I hope for a safe and peaceful new year for all. Lynette
ReplyDeleteSigh...I heart Smooch. What a dog.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you'd notice if me and the 11 critters snuck over for Christmas dinner? ;) You know, it's such a quick hop over from Ned to 7msn :D
Do the critters get a special feast, too? Perhaps some marshmallow topped mashed carrots for my leetle burreeto friends? Or apple dumplings for the dynamic hooved pony duo? Willie says he wants some special for-goats-only stuuuuuuufffing please! And Winona insists on whirled peas (or is it world peace?). The flowery kitties probably will pounce on the turkey when you aren't looking and then blame it on Smooch, and little Deets will steal some of George's meal just because it's fun!
Fun howlidays at the MSN!
Enjoy your dinner! The house looks so festive :)
Oh, Smooch! Love that dog. :-)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
I think the look on Smooch's face is what's known as 'long suffering'....All the best for a festive evening!
ReplyDeleteGreat dog in the morning! So cute!
