On Sunday, the neighbor asked if I would help look for a couple strays who were missed during a recent gather. They were wandering around my neck of the range somewhere, with no access to water. So my other neighbor and I went looking, found the strays, and spent the better part of the day pushing them back to the herd. Here, let me translate that: two thirsty cows got lost in the woods, we rode around on our horses until we found them, and then we took them home.
But - gasp! – I have no pictures to share. This was serious business, and Lyle and I didn't need the distraction. So instead, I've dusted off these pictures for you. I call them Mother and Child Reunion.
Great pictures as always....love the one of that little baby running :)
ReplyDeleteI love the last photo my word what a BEAUTIFUL scene...just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous photos (as always)! Love the last one--what beautiful scenery.
ReplyDeleteAwww, how sweet that is.
ReplyDeleteThat little calf running to mama was just precious.
ReplyDeleteCute photos....I have to tell you I have never noticed so many pics with animals with their tongues stuck out....and of course I immediately think of you! :)
ReplyDeleteLeave it to you to go out and find the lost cows and save them- I'm so glad you did that, and it must have been challenging. Did Lyle enjoy it? I always think it's a good lesson in mothering to watch a cow and her calf - very touching.
ReplyDeleteAWWWW...too cute.
