Skywatch Friday
Every Friday, I plan to participate in an activity called Skywatch, assuming I can figure out all this link stuff. This is my first entry. There's a Skywatch site, where folks from around the world post links to pictures of their sky. I will take a picture of my sky–from more or less the same place each week–and post it here, for viewing by whomever might want to see what the heavens look like from New Mexico.
When I went out to take a sky picture as the sun set tonight, Lyle came over to see what I was doing. Mercifully, he did not knock over the tripod. He swung his head to see what I was photographing, and there you have it – one very curious horse watching the sky.

I love how Lyle's nose and mouth and chin hairs are highlighted by the setting sun. Very pretty picture!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! That picture would go perfect with a post that I have scheduled to be published at 11:00 PM tonight. It's called "Watchin' the Sun Go Down with my Dude". Great photo. Keep it up. You definitely have one of the most visually pleasing blog sites.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Sky Watch! Your first post is a beauty! Nothing quite like a New Mexico sunset.
ReplyDeleteHope to see you here next weekend, too.

ReplyDeleteOutstanding picture, and hurray for Lyle adding to it. He just knew his profile would add to it ... LOL!
ReplyDeleteArrived here via the Black Box Widget. Interestingly I arrived back in the UK from New Mexico yesterday. Already missing the weather - and the fabulous people. NM folk have to be the most welcoming of all the States I've visited so far.

ReplyDeleteYou really are good at taking pics of horses up close. I don't know what you do to support all your four-legged friends, but horsey photography could sure be one of them. :)

I thought when I took this picture that it would be special. I'm so glad you all agree. But now the pressure is on to come up with something just as cool for every Skywatch Friday. Honestly, I love this shot so much, I don't think I'll be able to top it, but I'll keep trying. Thanks, everybody, for stopping by to look at it.
