Soggy weekend ahead?
Probably...but maybe not. The tropical storm that was Hurricane Dolly will allegedly bring lots of rain to much of New Mexico this weekend. The 7MSN is a little inside the eastern edge of where the rain is supposed to fall. See us right there next to the N in RAIN? While I really need to run errands tomorrow, I'd be pretty happy getting stuck here, too. I wore myself out in Ruidoso today, immersed in some serious retail therapy. What did rancher-woman buy? It will seat six cowboys and it's not a truck. Details and pictures tomorrow.

Hey! I'm getting tired of everyone blaming my horse for causing so much trouble!
ReplyDeletehehe
(Just so you know, Baby Doll's barn name is Dolly, but I rarely call her that because it reminds me of my husband's grandmother's annoying Schnauzer)
Can't wait to see what you bought and read about your visit to Ruidoso. All these years in NM and I have yet to visit there. And I've read that the town's got an amazing museum there dedicated to horses, too!
Oh. And that map makes us look like we live so close...like just down the road. Wish we did!
I can't wait to see what you bought!
ReplyDeleteHey, you bought a six-holer outhouse.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool. I can't wait to see the pictures.
Dan
Did you buy a hot tub?!
ReplyDeleteLook at the 7MSN right there on the map - I just edited a scene that takes place in TorC and now I'm thinking maybe these characters should head on up to the 7MSN and run into Hank and Lyle and George and Alan. :)
Nope, not a six-holer outhouse. And nope, not a hot tub. I'm still working on getting things set up, so no pictures yet...you'll just have to keep guessing for awhile.
ReplyDeleteBillie, it's only through the magic of Photoshop that my place is on the weather map - call it my kind of fiction!
I am glad that I was reading through all of these comments, because I TOTALLY missed that your ranch was on the doppler!!!!
ReplyDeleteOooohhhhh...I cannot wait to see what you bought!
I've got it. A very large saddle....I would hate to see the poor horse or donkey that would have six cowboys in one saddle on his/her back.
ReplyDeleteNow that I see you on the map, I'm wondering if those turtles you keep seeing in the sky are really something else, you are pretty close to Roswell. I've been through Tucumcari and Albuquerque, it's beautiful country.
ReplyDeleteSix cowboys huh, new living room set with pull out beds?
