...and all I can say is holy stinkin' crap. It's so much fun to have control over a camera again. But there's no way I'm taking it out in the rain, so I'll just stay here on the porch and see how many portraits Smooch will sit for until she gets bored and sticks her tongue out at me again.
Smooch looks beautiful in this picture. Glad you're enjoying the new camera. It's raining? Yeah!
ReplyDeleteThat is the most gorgeous dog.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she's posing. Smooch has the most expressive eyes.
ReplyDeleteRain is good!! Rain is good! ;) Did you do a raindance?
ReplyDeleteGlad you got it turned on....can't wait to see more pictures from it.
My husband is lusting after the soon-to-be released 24 pixel Sony. (whatever that means)
ReplyDeleteIs it raining there? Woo hoo!
Congrats on your camera. They take really, really nice pictures!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Smooch is part basenji, is she?
I like your blog. I am headed up to NM for a camping trip in Cimarron Canyon next week. My grandparents used to live up there. My family has been going up there every summer for about 30 years now. We are FINALLY going to go rafting and I am so excited!
Smooch knows she's a pretty girl. You can see that she loves to pose for you.. Beautiful picture. Glad you're having fun with the camera and that it's finally raining!
ReplyDeleteYay! Rain! We got a downpour here yesterday, which means no dragging six hoses and a tripod sprinkler out to the corn garden.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you finally got your much anticipated, long awaited, rain!
ReplyDeleteKudos to you for being able to read directions and actually figure out ANYTHING at all!!! I am NOT good at reading or following directions to anything...I blame it on my ADD (lol!).
Cant't wait to see some new photos of your fam :)
The much-awaited rain is preventing me from playing outside with the new camera. 24 hours of drizzle, if you can believe it. It hasn't amounted to much - not quite two-tenths of an inch - but beggars can't be choosy.
ReplyDeleteCindy, Smooch does look like a basenji but her parentage remains a mystery. She's just proud to be an all-New Mexican mutt.
Yep, turning on is a good start, hehe. Practice makes perfect I tell ya, and if your not in the mood for playing with it...do it anyway. =)
ReplyDeleteWell, Smooch, you have nice heritage if you are all New Mexican. Proud is what you should be! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat dog is spooking me out! Smooch looks like she can see through your soul. Such wisdom in those eyes.
ReplyDeleteThat camera makes her look so soft, too.
Your blog made be chuckle! Of course, that made me realize that I should subscribe so I did. Can't wait to hear more about your adventures in the outback of NM. Made a similar, although less drastic change, when I moved from urban Florida to rural Oregon. Can't believe how lucky I am to have discovered this piece of paradise.
ReplyDeleteFeel free to check out my blog

OK, pictures do lie, Twinville. When you meet Smooch, and I hope you will someday soon, you will realize she is just a total goober. If she sees through your soul, it's only because your soul is made of either jackrabbits or treats.
ReplyDeleteOregonella, I'm headed your way now. I've never heard my place called "the outback of NM" but it certainly has a ring to it!
