I’m often asked, “Don’t you get lonely living out there all by yourself?" My usual and honest response is, “Hell, no.” And here is just one little reason why. I was out celebrating the whopping one-tenth of an inch of rain that fell today (beggars can’t be choosers), when the burros started to play, and Deets came out to join them, then Lyle added his two cents, and I was in the middle of the party...not exactly the perfect storm I had in mind, but it’ll do.
Is there a more gentle creature on this earth than a burro? I don't think so. If there's any doubt, play the video again and watch George nudge and step over Deets.
LOVED the video, and such a great song, too! ;) Sorry you didn't get all the rain you wanted...maybe tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the cat really was trying to get away, not sure Deets trusted all those large hoofs around his tail. I see he finally opted for the porch rail, where they couldn't step on him, although I'm impressed by how careful they were with him.
ReplyDeleteThere's my Baby Deets! I miss him and the hugs Alan and George graciously allowed me to share with them this weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh, and you, too!(And the margaritas!) Here's a long-distance rain dance for you.
What a great video! Hope the rain leads to more!
ReplyDeleteI giggled out loud when I watched Deets scurrying away into the barn with the equines in full pursuit. hehe
ReplyDeleteHow was Deets to know they were just wanting to play. Too cute!
OMG, I'm still smiling after watching this video! How freakin' cute!
