Today George and Alan got their first taste of wide open spaces. I turned them out in the pasture, where they raced around trees, hopped over bushes, and slowed down every once in awhile for a taste of something new. I was a little nervous about them returning to the barn, but they came back in a few hours for a drink of water. Hank and Lyle, meanwhile, were confined to the corral. I'll let George and Alan get their bearings in the pasture before turning them all out together. I watched Alan ponder the electric fence; he didn't touch it, though, smart little guy that he is.
